Mission

The day our son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder I felt like I'd been thrown into the middle of a hurricane and I didn't know which way was up. In those early days I vowed that I would do all I could to ensure that other parents would not feel the hopelessness and lack of direction that we felt then. This blog is my effort to allow my hindsight to be other's foresight, even as the journey continues to unfold.

Our mission is three-fold: 1) Expand autism awareness, 2) encourage parents of special needs kids that they are NOT alone, and 3) empower them in their journey through sharing lessons learned woven with messages of hope and inspiration.

About the Author

Susan Johnson is a wife, mother of two, former federal government executive at the U.S. Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, and principal in a venture firm. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business, an MBA, a Master's of Public Policy, and is a Certified International Project Manager (CIPM). She lives in Texas with her husband and children.
